Wizkid Snubbed Davido When He Congratulated Him.
Wizkid’s conspicuous silence after Davido congratulated him when he
dropped his Made In Lagos album has been met with varied interpretations on
social media.
This 14-track album features other great acts such as Damian Marley,
Skepta, American vocalist H.E.R, British soul singer Ella Mai and Nigerian
Afrobeats hero Burna Boy (a recent NME cover star). Since the album dropped, a
lot of fans have been left disappointed saying the new project is a flop. But
of course, this will constitutes another topic on a different day.
Right after the album was released, Davido joined a lot of Nigerian
celebs who reacted with enthusiasm towards the album.
Wizkid silence however means he’s probably not happy about a comment Davido made to BBNaija’s Ebuka Obi Uchendu recently when he said he (Wizkid) and Burna Boy are conspiring against him.
Davido had said;
That joining P together, that shit lame bro, that shit wack I can’t even lie. Joining to come and, what are you planning? We are all here, we are trying to take this music higher. Nobody will gang up against me, nobody for this Nigeria industry weh go gang up against me weh go work. Cos I don’t have a bad heart to anybody. I can’t lie, it hurts me sometimes.
Perhaps Wizkid has analysed this statement into persepctive and wants to
keep his distance. What do you think?
