NECO finally releases new date, resumes SSCE November 9
Barely one week after it postponed its
examinations indefinitely, the National Examinations Council (NECO) has
announced that the suspended 2020 Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE)
would restart nationwide on Monday, November 9.
Ntrends24 reports that the examinations
were suspended over the #EndSARS protests, which disrupted the movement of
materials nationwide.
The head of information and public
relations division, NECO, Azeez Sani, disclosed this in a statement on Monday,
November 2, in Abuja.
The statement read:
The National Examinations Council (NECO) wishes to inform candidates, schools and other stakeholders of the resumption of the 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in all states and the FCT from Monday 9th November 2020.
Following the return of normalcy in the states and FCT, the examinations will now continue with a new time-table from Monday 9th November, 2020 to Saturday 28th November, 2020.
