Bukola Saraki: Endorse Four Nigerian Inventors who built an aircraft (Photos)

Four young innovative men from Kwara state, Nigeria have been offered support and commendation for their resourcefulness in building an aircraft.

Bukola Saraki, former senate president after coming across the talented men’s work, directed his foundation to assist the four inventors who build aircraft prototype.
This is coming weeks after the young inventors identified as Jimoh Abdulfatai, Abdulateef Hanafi, Musa Aliu and Jamiu Abass met with Kwara Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

In an interview, the four secondary school leavers said they sold their belongings to build the aircraft.
But taking to social media on November 1, Saraki said he had directed his foundation to reach out to the young inventors to support both their work and education.

He wrote: “Quite fascinating to read about these talented young innovators from my home state, Kwara. I have just directed my foundation (@ABSFoundationNG) to reach out to them to support both their work and education.”

Abdulfatai, who spoke on behalf of the team, said he sold his motorcycle to buy materials they used in building the aircraft, adding that others also sold their belongings.

When asked if the aircraft could fly, he said:

“Yes, it can fly. It has all the components of a normal aircraft such as propellers, wings, tail, flying gear, etc. Although we have not tested this one, the smaller one we built was tested.”
