There is a possibility that Xiaomi will reveal details about MIUI 13 in the company’s upcoming Mi Developer Conference (MIDC). There is no official eligibility list for MIUI 13 yet, but it has been predicted it will include the Redmi Note 8 and Note 9 series smartphones, all the Mi 10 range, and the POCO X2 and X3 devices.

The Xiaomi Mi Developer Conference is expected to be held from November 5 to November 7, and it will apparently be based around the tagline “Technology for life”. One topic that could be discussed at the conference is MIUI 13, which is likely to start rolling out to various Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones in the first half of 2021.

Few details are known about MIUI 13 at the moment, although it seems Xiaomi will simply work on enhancing the features of MIUI 12, such as optimizing the numerous animations found in the Android-based skin. An interview with some Xiaomi engineers hinted that a new Super Wallpaper tool could also be integrated into the software that would allow users to create their own wallpapers.

We have already reported on a potential list of MIUI 13-eligible devices; however, it was somewhat incredulous as it included the Redmi Note 4 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Fortunately, PiunikaWeb has put together a more credible unofficial list of smartphones that could end up receiving a MIUI 13 update, and Redmi Note 7 owners shouldn't get their hopes up:
